Import or find the product

  1. In Quick Sheets, open Products.
  2. Stay on the Builders tab.
  3. To add Shopify products, select Import Products, choose one or more products, and import them.
  4. To configure an existing product, find it in the list and select Edit/configure.

You can search the list by product title, product type, or tag.

Standard Gang Sheet and UV Gang Sheet products both appear as Gang Sheet in Quick Sheets. This is selected automatically during import. Importing one product opens its Product configuration directly. Importing multiple products returns you to the Products list.

Configure sizes and prices

Saving changes on this page updates the actual Shopify variants and prices. Removing a size group removes its corresponding Shopify variants when you save.

On the Size config tab:

  1. Select the Shopify option that represents the product size.
  2. Select the size unit: inches, centimeters, or millimeters.
  3. Review the size groups created from the product's Shopify variants.
  4. For each group, enter the size value, width, and height.
  5. Enter a valid price for each variant row.

Keep at least one size group and resolve any field validation shown before saving.

For example, a product may have Size values 22x24 and 22x36 plus a Finish option. Select Size because it determines the printable dimensions. Each Size value becomes a group with its own width and height, while Finish stays on the variant rows inside those groups. Each Size and Finish variant keeps its own Shopify price.

Review optional product settings

After sizes and prices, start by reviewing upload formats, output type, and artwork rules. Leave the remaining settings at their defaults unless your workflow needs them.

Open the Product settings tab to change the customer experience or generated files.

Builder appearance

Use Theme to match Builder's colors to your storefront, and Default language to choose the language customers initially see. Font styles the Builder interface; it does not control the fonts customers use for text on their sheets. Artboard background color sets the Builder canvas background, and leaving it blank makes the canvas background transparent.

Turn on Show product title or Show gang sheet price when customers should see that product and price context while they build. Leave either setting off when you want a simpler workspace.

Artwork quality and placement

Use warning-first rules when your shop reviews artwork before production. Enable the relevant restrictions when customers must correct artwork before checkout.

  • Optimal, Good, Bad, and Minimum DPI: set the ordered thresholds that classify artwork as optimal, good, bad, or below minimum; values must be whole numbers from highest to lowest.
  • Disallow artwork below minimum DPI: turns the Minimum DPI threshold from quality feedback into an enforced limit.
  • Disallow outside artboard: prevents artwork from extending outside the printable canvas.
  • Disallow solid backgrounds: makes detected solid backgrounds block add to cart; when off, they remain warnings.
  • Disallow semi-transparent pixels: makes detected partial transparency block add to cart; when off, it remains a warning.
  • Disable auto trim: turns off automatic artwork trimming when Quick Sheets creates the print file.

Customer tools and artwork sources

Decide first whether customers must sign in, where they can get artwork, which editing tools you want to support, and whether Quick Sheets should be the product's main purchase path.

  • Turn on Customer login required for Builder when customers need to sign in before opening Builder. This affects storefront access; you can still edit designs from Quick Sheets. Leave it off for faster guest access.
  • Direct uploads, Gallery, Dropbox, and Canva are independent artwork sources. Disallow customer uploads turns off direct uploads, while Disable gallery usage turns off Gallery. The Dropbox and Canva settings each affect only that service, so disabling one source does not disable the others.
  • Use Disable text, Disable background removal, and Disable image upscale for editing tools your shop does not want to offer.
  • Turn on Notes per sheet when customers should add production instructions to individual sheets. The notes continue into cart and checkout.
  • Turn on Hide theme Add to Cart button when Quick Sheets should be the primary way to purchase this product. This hides the theme's native product button, but the Quick Sheets Builder cart action remains available.
  • Disallow reorder prevents customers from reusing ordered designs through Quick Sheets Saved Designs. Shopify's native Reorder does not include the saved Quick Sheets design, so Quick Sheets may be unable to create print files for a natively reordered item. This setting does not disable Shopify's native Reorder action.

Auto-build and spacing

Turn on Auto-build enabled when customers commonly arrange jobs with many logos or transfers. Image margin sets the production spacing between artwork. Keep Allow customer to edit margin off when that spacing must remain consistent, or turn it on when customers should control how tightly their sheets are packed.

Use Open auto-build by default only when Auto-build is the product's normal workflow. Auto-build enabled must be on before it can open by default.

Generated print files

A consistent downloaded filename helps production staff match files to Shopify orders and organize a download folder or production queue.

  • Supported file formats: limits file extensions accepted through direct uploads and Dropbox.
  • Output file type: chooses PNG, PDF, or TIFF for generated print files.
  • File name format: controls the downloaded print-file name using tags and optional text; at least one tag is required. For example, Order name, a hyphen, and Design name could produce a name such as #1001-Summer-logo.pdf when PDF output is selected.

Production identification

Printed filenames identify physical sheets after they leave the computer, while a Shopify order QR helps staff open the related Admin order.

  • Print file name on sheet: prints identification inside the generated output; it is separate from File name format and does not change the downloaded filename.
  • Position, size, and render on: control where the printed filename appears, how large it is, and whether it appears on the first page or every page.
  • Print shop logo: adds the shop logo to generated output and requires a Store logo under General settings.
  • Print Shopify order QR: adds a QR code linked to the Shopify Admin order and appears only on output generated from an order.
  • Placement, size, and render on: control whether production marks use the top or bottom area, each mark's size, and whether each appears on the first page or every page.
  • Shop logo or Shopify order QR printing requires output at least one inch wide.

Live chat

Add a Live chat script from a service in the in-app Supported providers list when you want chat available inside Builder. Turn on Disable live chat when the saved service should not load. Quick Sheets accepts only the supported service's HTTPS script, not other code.

Save and check the status

Select Save. Fix any validation message shown beside a field, then save again.

The product list and configuration page show its setup status:

  • Ready: the required configuration is complete.
  • Needs setup: the product still needs its initial size and variant configuration.
  • Needs attention: some configuration is missing or invalid. Open Edit/configure and follow the messages shown on the page.

If a previously configured product needs attention, confirm that its selected Shopify size option still exists, its size groups have dimensions, and its required variants have prices.
