Arrange artwork on a sheet

  1. Select an artwork item to move, resize, or rotate it. Set its width and height when the finished physical print size matters.
  2. When you need the same artwork repeatedly, use Duplicate for one more copy or Add Quantity for several. Auto Fill Sheet, when available, adds as many copies as will fit.
  3. When artwork overlaps intentionally, use Bring to Front or Send to Back to choose which item appears above the other.
  4. For clean rows and shared edges, select multiple items and use the alignment controls. Snapping and guides help keep placement and spacing consistent.
  5. Use Undo to recover from an unwanted layout change, or Redo to restore it.

If another copy or text item does not fit, make room, reduce its size, add another sheet, or use Auto Build or Auto Nest.

Manage the sheets

Use the active sheets list to move between sheets and review what each one contains. You can add another blank sheet, duplicate a sheet, change a sheet name, or remove an extra sheet.

Artwork quantity, sheet quantity, and Duplicate have different purposes:

  • Artwork quantity adds more copies of one artwork item to the layout.
  • Sheet quantity orders multiple identical copies of the completed sheet.
  • Duplicate creates a separate copy of the sheet that you can edit independently.

For example, setting a completed sheet's quantity to 3 orders three identical copies. Duplicating that sheet creates another sheet whose artwork, size, or product options can be changed without changing the original.

Each sheet can use its own available size and other product options, such as Finish. Changing these choices can change the printable area and the displayed price. After switching to a smaller sheet, review the complete layout because some artwork may no longer fit inside the printable area.

When notes are enabled for the product, one sheet has a Design note and a multi-sheet design has a Sheet note for each sheet. Use notes for instructions the shop should receive with the design.

Review every active sheet before saving or adding the design to cart. Confirm that each sheet contains the intended artwork and that nothing important extends beyond the printable sheet.

Add text

Select Add Text when the shop has enabled it. Enter and style the text, then place it like other artwork.

Shop Fonts are supplied by the shop. Your Fonts contains fonts you uploaded for your work. If the font you need is unavailable, select Upload font and choose a supported font file.

Text still needs room on the sheet. If Builder cannot add it, make space or add another sheet before trying again.

Edit an image

Open Edit image when a source needs cleanup before you place or print it. The available tools depend on the shop and the selected image.

  • Crop keeps the part of the image you need and removes unwanted surrounding areas.
  • The color tools adjust color or replace or remove selected colors when the artwork needs that change.
  • Remove background is useful when an unwanted background should not remain in the artwork. Upscale may provide more usable detail when Builder offers it for the source image. These tools must be enabled by the shop, may not be available for every image, and do not always produce a better result.
  • History lets you review an available earlier image state and restore it with Use this state.

Select Apply to canvas to apply the finished edit back to the sheet before closing. A change that is still shown only in the editor preview has not changed the artwork on the sheet.

The Preview background helps you inspect light, dark, or transparent artwork. It is for viewing only and does not add a printable background to the artwork.

Check artwork indicators

Builder can show indicators for low resolution, artwork outside the printable sheet, overlapping items, solid backgrounds, and semi-transparent pixels. The shop decides which checks are informational warnings and which must be corrected.
